§ 27-5. Employee sick and vacation leave.

  • All permanent employees of the department of urban renewal staff are authorized sick and vacation leave, not to exceed thirteen (13) days annually for sick leave and not to exceed the following annually for vacation leave:

    (1)

    For employees with less than three (3) years of LPA service—Thirteen (13) days.

    (2)

    For employees with more than three (3), but less than fifteen (15) years of LPA service—Twenty (20) days.

    (3)

    For employees with fifteen (15) or more years of LPA service—Twenty-six (26) days.

    The maximum cumulative carry over of unused leave at the beginning of any leave year will not exceed thirty (30) days. Project costs shall not include (a) payment of unused sick leave, (b) payments of an unused vacation leave except upon separation of an employee from the local public authority.
